Physical Therapy Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do you have parking?

Yes. Our building is directly attached to the Crown Plaza parking garage across the street- with a covered walkway for when it’s raining! You can enter the garage from Clay or Market (between 1st and 2nd Ave) and can park anywhere above the 2nd floor. Take your ticket with you and we will validate it. When you park in the garage take the elevator to the 2nd floor then take the skybridge across the street (1st Ave) and head back down to the first floor. Bridgetown PT is on the northwest corner with all the windows and is directly across from the security desk.

How long will my appointment be?

You should plan to be at the clinic for approximately 60 minutes.

What should I wear to the clinic?

We prefer that you wear something comfortable that will not restrict your exercises. Athletic Shoes, shorts/sweat pants, and a t-shirt are ideal.

Do I need to see my doctor before going to physical therapy?

No. Under “direct access” any person may seek physical therapy services without a referral from their physician in Oregon. Liability insurers and the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy affirm that physical therapists’ services provided without referral do not jeopardize the health, safety, or welfare of the patient/clients seeking physical therapists’ care and services without referral. Direct access care is primarily paid for by patients on an out of pocket basis. However, third party payers may reimburse for these services depending on specific insurance policies.
